Adopt A Pet Today
Northeast Arkansas Humane Society

At Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, our mission is to secure loving homes for every cat and dog we take in. As a non-profit organization, we vaccinated, care and shelter each pet within our facility as we strive to locate them with suitable forever homes. Our adoption process requires you to fill out an application and do a meet and greet with the animal. These fees help cover the cost of care, microchip, spay/neuter, and vaccinations for the animal you are adopting. If you're ready to add a new addition to your family, we invite to explore our available cats and dogs through the links below.

Meet and Greets are by APPROVED application only. We will call you once approved to set up a meet and greet. If you have an approved application in the last 6 months, you do not have to fill out another one, just call the shelter to set up an appointment.
We DO NOT reserve animals until you have done a meet and greet.

  • All applications will be held for a minimum of 24 hours and up to 6 days. This is to verify application information and to ensure that no impulse decisions are being made.
  • Be aware that multiple applications may be filled out on our pets.
  • NEAHS does not always approve adoptions on a first-come, first-serve basis. Application approval can be based on what is in the best interest of the pet.
  • Misrepresentation of information on the adoption application will result in application denial.
  • All adopted animals must be spayed/neutered before leaving NEAHS. Depending on the schedule this could take approximately 2-6 days.
  • If you require any additional information or have any questions, please contact our NEAHS application coordinator at adoptions@neahs.org or 870-932-5185.
