We will allow 2 volunteers from 8:30-12, 1:30-4 Monday through Saturday. Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the shelter at 870.932.5185 or email us at office@neahs.org to check availability and to schedule a time. You will be asked to complete paperwork prior to arrival.

Things volunteers will help with: cleaning kennels, laundry, washing dog bowls, mop, scoop cat litter, and other tasks.

How Volunteering Enriches Your Life

Volunteer work is a beautiful way to extend your help to those in need. As a non-profit organization, we're always in need of caring individuals and teams devoted to bettering the lives of all animals. Volunteer work deepens one's sense of perspective and gratitude; doing good actually makes us feel good. Not to mention, the impact of your efforts does not go unnoticed by Northeast Arkansas Humane Society or our loving animals. Volunteering can also have benefits for your education and career. Many school programs require volunteer hours to meet requirements.
