Northeast Arkansas Humane Society ("NEAHS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through neahs.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you provide directly, when you:

• Submit an adoption, foster, volunteer, contact, sponsorship, or medical clinic request form

• Make a donation or become a Patron member

• Sign up for our email newsletter

• Contact us by phone or email

This may include your name, address, phone number, email address, and, for adoption and foster applications, details about your household and living situation.
Payment information. Donations and Medical Clinic service payments are processed through Wix Payments. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers, it is handled directly by our payment processor.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we use analytics tools (Google Analytics and/or Wix Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site, pages viewed, time on site, general location, and device type. This data is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.
Cookies. Our site uses cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through the banner shown on your first visit, or through your browser settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

• Process adoption, foster, volunteer, sponsorship, and Medical Clinic requests

• Process donations and memberships, and send tax receipts

• Send our monthly email newsletter, if you've opted in (managed through Mailchimp)

• Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms

• Improve our website and programs

• Fulfill Patron membership benefits, including business partner discounts

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services We Use

• Wix — our website platform and hosting

• Wix Payments — donation and Medical Clinic payment processing

• Mailchimp — email newsletter management

• Google Analytics / Wix Analytics — website usage data

• Petco Love Lost — a third-party lost and found pet database we recommend; we encourage you to review their own privacy practices before using their service

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their platforms.
Information Sharing
We do not share your personal information except:

• With service providers listed above, as needed to operate our programs

• If required by law

• With your consent, for example, a testimonial you agree to have published on our site

Data Retention
We retain adoption, foster, and volunteer application information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer our programs and maintain records. Donor information is retained in accordance with standard nonprofit recordkeeping practices.
Your Choices

• You can unsubscribe from our email newsletter at any time using the link in any email

• You can request to know what information we have on file about you, or request corrections, by contacting us at office@neahs.org

• You can decline optional cookies through our cookie banner

Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
